Cold on my Lap Lady's Birthday

Today is my Lap Lady's birthday but she won't say how old she is... Since it's so cold and it snowed last night, I decided to stay inside of my cube. It sits on the rug halfway over the warm air vent.
~~~~~
Hey, you woke me up - is it time for the birthday party yet???
If not, I'm staying in here!
Here is the card that Willow and I made for my Lap Lady.
We wanted her to know what we thought she should do on her birthday!
Happy Chinese New Year from China Cat Sunflower
Happy Chinese New Year to everyone!
~~~~~
I am not really Chinese because I am a ginger tabby cat born in Missouri. But since my real name is China Cat Sunflower, my Big Janitor Dad sometimes calls me Chineeeze, which kind of sounds like Chinese! So I thoug
ht that I would celebrate Chinese New Year today. It is now the year of the Ox.
~~~~~
I have never seen an ox before but this morning I went visiti
ng and over at Tybalt's he had a Chinese New Year post. He said that he was born in the Year of the Dog and he had a link to find out what your Chinese Zodiac sign is. This is the link I followed to find out that I was born in the Year of the Rat! I have never seen a Rat before but I have seen and actually caught some mice and a vole and even a chipmunk! I did not make the chipmunk dead - I brought it in the house and set it down. My Lap Lady was not very happy to have a live chipmunk running around the living room, with me running after it. Eventually she caught him in a plastic bowl and put him out front on the porch. He ran like the wind when she let him out of the plastic bowl. We only have one picture of him under the plastic bowl and you can see his chipmunk fur sticking out a little bit. My Lap Lady was too nervous and shaky trying to get him out to take his picture while we were running around the living room! (Darn it - we can't find the picture but will post it as soon as we can find it.)
~~~~~

Anyway, back to Chinese New Year, this is what it says about me being born in the Year of the Rat:
Personality - Occupying the 1st and most prominent position on the Chinese Zodiac, the Rat symbolizes such character traits as wit, imagination and curiousity. Rats have keen observations skills and with those skills they're able to deduce much about other people and other situations. Overall, Rats are full of energy, talkative and charming but they have a tendency to become aggressive.

~~~~~
Well, I know that I am definitely curious (obviously since I am a cat)and I like to think of myself as rather witty and imaginative. Also, I do have very keen observation skills and I am very talkative. I hate to admit it but I can be a bit aggressive but that is only regarding Temptations. I have bit my Big Janitor's fingers when he holds out Temptations for me. I guess that I really was born in the Year of the Rat! Who knew!
Let me out.....please!
Can you believe this?!?!?!
Here I am at the door, ready to go out... My Big Janitor is standing there and so is my Lap Lady. Do you hear me.....open the door! It's all the way up to 55 degrees outside - it's practically warm.
I don't think that my Lap Lady needs to be taking my picture!
I am here so you can just take me outside
and maybe I can eat some grass...
~~~~~
Well, no one let met out so I may as well go back to bed!
Or come in and we can go visit some friends...
You haven't helped me blog much lately
so let's do something fun for me, OK???

There's never too much cozy...

It is very cold here and expected to get colder.

Kimo and Sabi's Challenge

Kimo and Sabi are having a contest,
challenging everyone to go out and meet five new kitties.
They are even having a drawing for a print called "Love Cats" by Kerry Beary. On Saturday, January 10th, their blurpy sister will pick the winning name!
So not only will you get to meet at least 5 new kitties, you might win some art!
~~~
~~
I looked at their blogroll, like Kimo & Sabi said we could, and found Ginger the Cat in Oregon. I am a ginger tabby so I thought I would like to go meet another kitty named Ginger. Ginger is a tabby cat but not orange like me. She has a fairly new sistercat named Q2 who looks like she is a dilute calico, like my sistercat, Willow. Q2 was named after Quest, who they sometimes called Q1. Their beautiful sistercat, Shy, recently went to the Rainbow Bridge and I'm sorry that I didn't get to know her.Ginger's picture
~~~~~
Next I went over to Cat with a Garden in Germany to meet Siena and Chilli. Siena is a beautiful floofy Norwegian Forest Cat a
nd her first birthday will be in April. She has a new sistercat (as of November 2008) named Chilli, who is another dilute calico cat like my sistercat, Willow. They both seem to be lots of fun and I'm looking forward to more visiting there!Siena's picture

As part of the Challenge, Cory Cat from Cory Cat Blog came over to visit me so I went over to visit her! She is a beautiful floofy black kitty and she likes chasing bugs like I do! She also lives in Oregon with her momma Elli
e, her sisters Jonesie, Cecilia, Ginger and Bennette, her brother Madison and even a woofie named Grete! Doesn't that sound like a fun house to live in?!?!Cory's picture
~~~~~
From Cory Cat in Oregon I traveled to Texas to meet Kiddo at This Cat's Life. He is a very handsome tuxedo cat living with his awesome people, Rachel and Evan. You don't want to miss his tummy shots - h
e has a very floofy tummy, indeed!Kiddo's picture
~~~~~
Back to Germany I went to meet a Maine Coon Cat named Luna at her blog, Maine-Coon-Luna. She is a gorgeous gray floofy cat with a sistercat named Luzie, who is a beautiful calico cat. Their sweet sistercat Frieda was a black and white beauty who unfortunately was hit by a car and went to the Rainbow Bridge in August 2008. In September 2008 a new black and white brothercat came to the family and was named Olli. They even have a woofie brother named Patch. Olli and Patch are the best of friends!

Wordlessly Watching with Whiskers

UPDATE: My picture is finally uploaded!
~~~~~
This is becoming "wordy" because I cannot upload my picture! I was Wordlessly Watching my Lap Lady while sitting on her computer and my Whiskers were practically glowing. But Mr. Blogger won't let me upload my picture and my Lap Lady says that even typing on my blog is very SLOW!
I'm in my Fantasy Jungle
I love my Christmas Tree.
I like to pretend that I am a Jungle Cat...
OK, once you look past the tree there is no jungle. But everycat has their own fantasy, right??? I want to keep my tree...
