Tail 'n Toesday...

As you know, I love my screened-in porch.

When I sit up here by the window,
I can see if there are any chipmunks, rabbits
or squirrels out in the yard.
~~~~~
From this vantage point, I can also watch for birds
and sometimes I will even get to watch ducks by the pool.
~~~~~
Also, I thought this picture showed off
my toes and tail quite nicely on this terrific Tuesday!

I was limericked...

I just found out that I have my very own limerick.
It's all about me!
Karen Jo featured me at Kitty Limericks on Thursday
and this is what she wrote about me:

China Cat Sunflower is a lovely ginger kitty who was found under a bush by her Mom and brought home. She quickly made friends with Samantha, who was already there. When Samantha went to the Bridge, China Cat was a bit lonely until Willow joined the household. China Cat loves Willow very much and the two of them have lots of fun together. China Cat has two very favorite things: sitting in Mom's lap and sunshine.

Favorites Meme

I was tagged by Eric & Flynn
for the Favorites Meme.
I went to visit them and
they had excellent answers.
I'll have to think hard
to get some good answers of my own.

So, here you will find My Favorites:

Time of day:

Anytime of day that the sun is shining on me!

Day of week:

Saturday because the dad brings home special coffee in the morning. Then we all sit in the living room together and I get to lay on my Lap Lady's lap!

Season of year:

Summer when I get to lay out in my sunny screened-in porch.

Holiday:

Christmas because of all the presents and lovely family time.

Beaches:

The only "beach" I have ever known is around the pond where my Lap Lady found me. So I guess it could be my favorite one for that reason!

Song:

My favorite song is my own song that I sing at the front door so I can go out and eat grass!

Flower:

Dandelions that I sometimes find when I am out eating grass.

Movies:

I can't think of a favorite movie but I know I would like to watch any movie with mice in it. I like to catch mice and I'm very good at doing that.

Soaps:

I don't watch soaps, but I hear them because my Lap Lady watches a lot of them.

Beverage:

Water, I only drink water.

Fruit:

I just sniff fruit but then I walk away from it.

Snack:

Chicken Temptations - I love them.

Food:

The only cat food I eat is Eukanuba Restricted-Calorie crunchies. It's very good . I used to be a bigger cat and now my vet says I'm just the right size because of this great food.

Restaurant:

I have never actually gone to a restaurant but I love it when my Lap Lady brings home some leftover chicken or steak.

Wordlessly Watching...

Yes, it was to the vet!

Willow and I found these PTU's in our porch.
I thought that they were kind of interesting
because the doors were open.
So it seemed safe as I climbed over it. Oops, it wasn't safe.
I was trapped...
I tried to get my squillion Charlie
to help me get out of this PTU
but he wasn't able to help me.
He just couldn't make his feet open the box.So we were put into the white VW
that my Lap Lady named after Skeezix.
After complaining the whole way, here we are at the vet.
I was meowing as loudly as I could.
See, my mouth is wide open complaining.Then I was taken by my own Lap Lady into "that" room.

We both went into room #1.
~~~~~
I was actually being very brave.
Poor Willow was almost frozen with fear.
But I am 10, and will be 11 in August,
so I have been to visit this particular vet
at least 10 times for my annual visit.
~~~~~
So, I really did quite a bit of exploring.
~~~~~
I looked at my Lap Lady's purse and it smelled like home.
I also walked all around Room #1.
~~~~~
My vet said that she found ginger tabbies, such as myself,
to be more outgoing than some other kitties in strange places.
~~~~~
She told me that I had great teeth for my age,
not so much tartar as she would have expected.
I liked seeing her a lot because she was very nice.
Therefore, I quit complaining so loudly and even purred a little bit! But I was very happy to go back home
and clean that V-E-T smell off of myself!
I also had to have a blood test and it was not fun.
I kind of embarrassed myself at that point
so the assistants had to wash me from the waist down.
I did quite a bit of cleaning when I got home.

I'm glad we're done with that visit this year!

7 Random Facts About Me…

1. I love to curl up and sleep on my Lap Lady's lap, especially in the winter.
~~~~~
2. When I go out to my screened-in porch, the first thing I do is roll around on the concrete. Even when it is cold.
~~~~~
3. My nose and my paw pads are all the same color, kind of a peachy-tan. But my lips are very pink.
~~~~~
4. I like to play with toys and balls but I do not fetch.
~~~~~
5. I love to sit on my Big Janitor aka Dad on the front porch bench. I don't even have a harness when I sit on his lap. But I have ran off the porch a few times. And I still get to go out! If he doesn't take me out, I stay at the front door and keep saying "mraw mraw mraw" until I get to go out.

6. When I run, my belly really swings side to side. It makes my Lap Lady laugh.
~~~~~
7. I am so happy that Willow came to live with us because she loves me and lets me wash her and cuddle with her. The cat who lived here before (when my Lap Lady found me under a bush and brought me home) was named Samantha and she only cuddled with my Lap Lady, not me. And she hissed at me a lot. But my Lap Lady still misses her.

Sunday Sleeping Late...

I was just so comfy and cozy
that I did not want to get out of bed.
My Lap Lady gave me
this blue sleeping bag which I love...
So, I'm staying in...

Our spies toured a swamp!

Well, I received the report about what
China II and Willow II did last Friday.

They went on a swamp tour!
I am not exactly sure
what a swamp looks like
but I only like water in my water bowl.
~~~~~
I don't think that I would want to be in a swamp.
Ever!!!

China II and Willow II were braver than I would be -
they went on a boat and saw real live alligators!
Just like at Daisy's house!
Now I really think she is brave to go outside!
There was even a little dog named Suzie that went on the boat.
She belonged to the tour guide. So the boat left the dock
and they saw all the trees growing in the water.
There was even a beaver house right there in the water
but they didn't see any beavers.
But then they saw the alligators.
The tour guide said that the big alligator was named Big Boy
and the smaller one was named Cindy.
He called to them and they swam right over to the boat
for chicken pieces that he threw to them.

China II and Willow II said that they jumped
back into my Lap Lady's purse in case alligators like to eat cats. Then the boat took everyone back to the dock.
I'm glad that alligators didn't see my little friends!

Home alone since last Thursday...

Last Wednesday Willow was very worried about the big green carrier thing she found on my Lap Lady's bed. She had a great idea to sneak our little friends China II and Willow II into my Lap Lady's purse.
