We always thought of ancient Egypt when cats were worshipped. Then we met Dragonheart and now that's who we think about whenever we hear about a Sphynx. We liked this poem because it shows that we used to be worshipped and in a way, since we are all so loved, it hasn't changed all that much.

AN ODE TO CATS

Years ago, in Egypt, the people worshipped cats

Tummy Toesday and 2 Tails

I am still trying to achieve a full monty.
Actually, I have done terrific full montys
that no one will ever see
because I seem to only do them
when my Lap Lady doesn't have the flashy box with her.
By the time she finds it, I am already done.
It's a good thing that Monty's contest isn't over for a while
because she is determined to get a good picture of me.

It's Cube Time...

I really like these cubes.
I have actually been sleeping in the beige one.
Once Willow climbed in with me and we both were very snuggly.
Unfortunately, we don't have a picture of that.
My Lap Lady had her camera out in the car
and so she couldn't get a picture of us.
Maybe we'll sleep in there again.

But today she had her camera ready
when Willow decided to check out my beige cube...So I turned to the blue one
and then we both went in at the same time.

Not ready for the Full Monte yet....

I was having such fun today.
The weather has been beautiful
but when I came in for lunch
I found the aqua hair band toy
and my catnip toy to play with for a little while
before heading back out to the porch!

I was also practicing for Monte's contest...
I just don't have the full Monte ready yet...
Luckily, there is still time for practice!
And it's time to board the Friday Ark!
There's lots of kitties already on board.

Tail Toesday

Here's a picture of my toes and my beautiful tail.
But I don't know what happened to my eyes.
I like to think of it as camouflage...

Here is what I was watching Wednesday...

My Wordless Wednesday was me watching something.
Some cats wondered what it was that I was watching
so I thought I would show you today!

Willow and I were sitting in our porch
when my Lap Lady brought out some stuff
that we had never seen before.
We stayed up high to make sure it was safe.
I decided it was time to check it out so I jumped down... I ran over to the couch to watch closer. My Lap Lady had new blue pillows
to go with the new couch cushions.
And then she put a new rug on the floor.
It is much nicer than concrete!
Willow and I both rolled around on the new carpet
but my Lap Lady was laughing too much
and didn't get any pictures of us.
But then I posed for this picture on the wonderful new carpet!

More Fun in the Porch...

These are some more pictures of me in my porch.
I found this little red ball to play with. Ha Ha I got that ball - I was too quick for it to get away. It was such a lovely sunny day for rolling in the sun. So that's what I did... I couldn't stop rolling and purring.
What a great day!

Toesday in the Porch...

I'm loving the porch today.
The sun is out after lots of rain.
I'm laying in the sunshine,
playing with a little berry type thing
that fell off of the centerpiece.

It really did fall off...
No, I did not remove it for my own pleasure!
Well, maybe I helped it off the centerpiece...
But now you can see my paw pads!

Monday Cubed...

Hey, look at this!!!
My Lap Lady brought home some cubes.
I thought it was a great place to get some privacy! And there are holes on the sides to look out... And for now at least, it's all mine!
