I'm 12 today!

It's my 12th birthday today and I get to do whatever I want to all day! I'm napping in my wonderful screened-in porch and later I will get lots of treats! Thanks for all the nice birthday wishes on my previous post!

6 Unspectacular Quirks of Mine

I've had a while to think about my quirks and here are six of them!
Maybe while I'm in here listing my quirks Willow will go into the red box top. This morning I think she gave me a look while I was sleeping in the red box top.

1. I like to be warm. Really warm. Daytime in the winter, I sleep in my heated cat cup or at night in bed under the blankets with my Food Lady. She keeps me very warm, even on her lap. I also sleep on the back of the couch because there is a reading light that that is very warm on my face.

2. In the summer, I love to sleep in the sunshine. Even when it is over 100 degrees and humid. My Food Lady always makes sure I have cold water, sometimes with ice cubes in it too! When I have been out for a while, she makes me come in to cool off a bit and she calls me "Humidkitty".

3. When I drink water from the water bowl I always put my paw in it first. Then I dig on the floor in front of the bowl with both front paws. But I never lick the water off my paw - I just drink out of the bowl.

4. I like to lick Willow on the top of her head and sometimes I clean her ears for her.

5. I talk a lot. When anyone says, "China Cat" I always answer: mrrrrrrrrriiiip. My dad thinks that I chirp. I chitter at the birds outside my mom's office window. She put a bird feeder there so we can always chitter at lots of birds.

6. Whenever my dad goes to the front door, I run as fast as I can to the front door, chirping my mrrriiiip, mrrriiiip, mrrriiiip the whole time. Sometimes they laugh at my belly swinging back and forth as I run. But I don't mind because I know that when I get to the door, my dad will pick me up and just the two of us go out front and sit on the bench that is on the front porch.

Well, that's 6 quirks of mine and now I would like to tag Moe, who is a gorgeous ginger like me and his sister, Mindy, who has a lot of white fur like my sister, Willow!

Saturday Caturday

When I come in the house after enjoying the sunshine in my screened-in porch, I like to stretch out on the cool kitchen floor. Oh! You even took a picture of me stretching!

My Monday Nap

I always rotate my favorite sleeping places. My Lap Lady doesn't like it when I pick a new place and then she can't find me. Luckily for her, I usually keep returning to the same place for maybe a few weeks. Right now I like to sleep on the chair at the kitchen table. See how it has a nice cozy cushion on it.

Violette Noelle

This is a very sad day.
Little Violette Noelle will be laid to rest.
In memory of "Sprout" my blog is violet today.

Rest in Peace, Sweet Felix

Another friend, Felix Unger Graves III,
had to go to the Rainbow Bridge today. I'm glad that he is no longer in pain.
And we will light candles for him tonight.

NOMS Day 8/5/2008

My NOMS friend is Bogart, Handsome Devil and he is one fine looking dog, indeed! In July he had this picture of him as the winning photo for July, where is was proudly displayed on the front page of Dogs With Blogs! He used to live in Los Angeles, California and has since moved to Portland, Oregon. Of course, he has already made lots of friends there!

Sunday Funday

Oh, what fun I had today! Willow stayed inside because she doesn't like it when it's too hot. But I got to go out in the backyard! My Lap Lady put me up in the planter that was sitting on the old bird bath. I was pretending to be like Eric and Flynn. I love looking at them outside and today I was outside! My yard isn't as big as theirs but it's a pretty green like their green grass. I will show you tomorrow where I was looking for mousies in my yard. I hope everyone is having a fun Sunday like I did!
