Sending Secret Paws

Both Willow and I have received our Secret Paws packages in the mail. I don't know how we will wait until Christmas to open them!

We just mailed both of our Secret Paws packages to some wonderful cats... but I hope that they will get them by Christmas time. My Lap Lady was a little slow on the packing but as you can see, we both snoopervised and made sure that all the presents were good cat presents for Secret Paws! I am excited about these presents and hope that my Secret Paws like them as much as I did with my snoopervision!

Happy Thanksgiving

Willow and I hope that everyone has a wonderful time today for Thanksgiving. My Lap Lady let me post this recipe for all of you to pass on to your moms and dads. I hope that all of you get Thanksgiving Treats!

I haven't slept in this bed for a while. It was in the corner of the dining room and I had forgotten how cozy it was. My Lap Lady was surprised when she saw me sleeping in it. So, of course, she had to go get her camera... It is really very cozy, indeed!

2009 Meow Like A Pirate Day!

Aaarrrrrrgh - tis be time for meowin' like pirates!
I found me some fine gold coins to load into me ship
an' the I be off to catch up wit' Cap'n Mao Fang of the Cat O' Nine Tails. Cap'n Mao Fang took over after the loss of Cap'n Nels the Cranky last year.

I've got me a different Pirate Name this year. Sure 'n it must be because I now be a teenager,
seein' as how I turned 13 on August 31st!

Saturday Caturday Fun for Me

First, I want to thank everyone for all of the ever-so-nice birthday greetings. I am having a great time being 13 years old. I really have such fun when I get to go outside in my backyard. I walk around and smell everything. I especially like smelling all of the scents left by those bunnies and chipmunks that I usually have to watch through the screen!

See, how my mouth is open - my Lap Lady was laughing because I was talking the whole time that I was on patrol. She said if there were any bunnies or chipmunks I had already scared them away by talking too much! Hmmmph! ~~~~~
I feel like a wild jungle cat in a floral forest! ~~~~~
Oh no, you shouldn't show my tummy like that... ~~~~~

It's my 13th Birthday Today!

Guess what?
You would never know it to look at me
but today I am 13 years old!
Really!!!
Today is My Birthday!

My Lap Lady gave us breakfast like she does every morning and then she opened the porch door so I could check for some sunshine. Willow told me that there would be birthday surprises a little later on. I thought this would be a good time for a nap on the couch with Louie the Lamb. Oh, is it time?
Willow just called me to come in the house
for the first birthday surprise!Woo Hoo - Willow and I got to enjoy some Fancy Feast Appetizers for a mid-morning snack. My Lap Lady saw that they were new in the newspaper and she thought that would be a special surprise treat for my birthday. For my birthday we tried the White Meat Chicken & Shredded Beef Appetizer in a Delicate Broth! Since it is a special day my Lap Lady put our appetizers in two pretty bowls with blue flowers decorating the inside. I have to tell you that it was delicious and we both gobbled it up! I almost finished all of my appetizer and you can see how pretty the bowl is. Well, I'm not used to having appetizers for a snack so I had better go take another nap before it's time for another birthday surprise!

I just hope that I won't have to wear a birthday hat...

I Love Outside!

I love going outside.
Since it was so nice out and I was such a good girl
I got to go out and look around in the backyard.

Two little apricot-colored poodles live there but they weren't out while I was looking at their yard. They are called toy poodles so they are about the same size as Willow. I am the smallest but as you can see I am adventurous! I enjoyed walking through the flower bed and have more pictures to show in another post!

Today is Toesday

It is very important to keep your toes clean. First, I make sure that my left paw is clean... After licking it, I smell it and it smells good! Next, I clean my right paw. Being clean is such a good feeling
and now I feel great!

Some Toes, Tail and Tummy for Tuesday

When I go out to my porch and the sun is shining I like to make sure that I am nice and clean before my nap. It is very relaxing to bathe in the warm sunshine. I always make sure to wash my face. If I keep my eyes clean, then my Lap Lady will leave them alone - unlike Willow...she is always getting help keeping her eyes cleaned! Oh my goodness,
I didn't know you were taking pictures of my bath!
Well, I guess it's OK as long as you got good
tummy, tail and toes today for Tuesday.
I'll be in for lunch after my nap...

Today is International Box Day!

Hooray for International Box Day!

I found this box sitting on the bed one day.
It looked like a great place to spend the day.
Who wouldn't like to be in a nice box with lots
of soft things to lie on in the sunshine!?!?!?!?! And of course, this is the box that stays in our porch
and Willow and I take turns laying in it!
It's my turn now!

Somewhat Easy Sunday

So, here it is Sunday and I wanted to put some pictures up of me on my blog. I looked and looked and couldn't find any new pictures of me! What's up with that???? Since April 8th when my Lap Lady's DGS was born there were only a scant few pictures of me and lots and lots of baby pictures. There were even pictures of Alice and Kara, the cats who live at the DGS's house.

I sadly went into the living room but was happily surprised
when my Lap Lady came in to get some NEW pictures of me! I rolled my head around
and peeked at her and her flashy box... OK, you can take some more pictures... Alright, that's enough...
I need some more nap time! Hey, look at that...

Tuckered-out Tuesday

Today is Tuesday and I am tuckered-out!
I spent some time in my screened-in porch until a quick thunderstorm rolled into the area. My Lap Lady let me in and I had some lunch. I strolled into the library where I keep another one of my beds on my Lap Lady's desk.
So I hope that the sun comes out again and
I will go find a sunspot in my porch!

Not So Easy Sunday

It's Sunday and I'm helping my Lap Lady.
Well, not so much helping as distracting...
My Lap Lady spread out all the bills and coupons
all over the living room rug while she sorts everything out.
I decided to roll around and play with my cigar.
It's fun to roll around on lots of bits of paper!
My Big Janitor Dad wouldn't be amused
but I certainly make my Lap Lady smile at me!

Thankful Thursday

I am very thankful for this wonderful blue afghan.
I love to sleep on it.
I got it for my Secret Paws Christmas present
from the lovely Kimo & Sabi.
I sleep on it almost everyday!And after I finish my current nap
I'd be thankful for more blog time for me!

It's Willow's Gotcha Day Today!

Today is Willow's Gotcha Day!

She was adopted from the Humane Society five years ago. Samantha, the One Who Came Before, went to the Bridge and my Big Janitor Dad and my Lap Lady thought that I needed a kitten. They were right - I needed Willow and she needed me. I think that I will snuggle with her all day so she knows how much I love her! Here is how she has grown in five years!
