Veteran's Day 2016

Veteran's Day is a time to recognize and honor those that have served their country in the armed forces.

Election Day

Well, in the United States it is today that everyone votes for the President of the United States of America.

Blogging as a cat I must say that I am unable to vote for anyone.

I do want a good life for my Lady and Big Janitor Dad so I am hoping for a good end to the election. They are both voting this morning.

When I went into the bedroom I found that there was some freshly warmed from the dryer laundry ready to be folded. How could I resist??? I jumped right up onto it and curled myself into it. Mmmmmmm, what warmth!

Tock-Tober Time

It's TockTober which was started by Derby and two bunnies, Fiona and Lando, in 2008. He is now Angel Derby but everycat still likes to show off their tocks in honor of him. His brother, Ducky, honored him in a very nice post over at The Tabby Cat Club. Hmmmm, I'm a ginger tabby mancat so maybe I could join The Tabby Cat Club!

Thankful Thursday

I am so happy and thankful that my Lady is helping me blog today!

It has been a while but we have been very busy here at my house. My Lady's parents were here visiting for a few weeks. I really like both of them but my Grandma is allergic to cats so she had fun looking at me while not petting me. My Grandpa, on the other hand, pet me every time I jumped up on the couch. He even gave me a nickname -- He called me Puddy! I was sorry to see them go back to their house. They live far away so we only see them about twice a year.

Last year my Lady bought me this really cool Haunted House. I still like napping in it. We had to tape it together as it kept falling apart. But now it is purrfect for me, as you can see!

Spike's Sunday Selfie

Hooray! It is Sunday Selfie time 
and my Lady was here to help me.

In fact, I jumped up on her lap 
so I could take my Sunday Selfie! 

She had been chatting on the phone with her sister, who is my Great Aunt. Two little dogs live with my Great Aunt and Great Uncle. I have never met those little dogs but from what I have heard I am taller than them. Anyway, my Lady thought a Sunday Selfie was a terrific idea for both my blog and to send to her sister in a text message.

Mancat Monday for me!

Well, it is Mancat Monday today

and us mancats need time to rest after busy weekends!

My Big Janitor Dad was out of town so I had to take care of my Food Lady. I followed her around so I could watch her and sometimes lay down in her lap. Then I had to remind her when to feed me and give me my treats. Also it was important to play with me with my wand toy, crinkley ball toy and my other toys. I also needed to go out to my screened-in porch to check out everything. 

This is one of my favorite napping places.

We want to thank everyone for all the purrs and prayers when I was so sick a little while ago. I am eating my special food, which is crunchies and canned meat. I really like both of them! Of course, I also drink lots of water from my big pitcher. My Lady is so happy that I feel better and I always want to play with her when I am not busy napping,

 usually close by her!

Update on Spike William

First I must thank the Cat Blogosphere for all the purrs and prayers you sent my way. I'm afraid I need to ask for some more purrs and prayers.

I spent the night last Wednesday and Thursday at the V-E-T Hospital. Friday night the doctor said that my blockage had cleared somewhat so I was able to go home. I had two different kinds of medication which my Lady had to force down my throat. However, she said it was for me to feel better. I am still not using my litter box as much as I should so I hope that I am not getting blocked again. We cannot afford surgery to take care of this.

Anyway, my Lady keeps telling me to eat my special food, drink lots of water, pee and poop appropriately and enjoy my naps. I have to go and visit my regular v-e-t this afternoon and I hope they will say I am better.

Please purr and pray for me!

 

Purrs for Spike William

 I certainly need some purrs and prayers from my friends today. Yesterday my Lady had to take me to the v-e-t hospital. I seem to have a blockage and crystals. Today the Dr. told my Lady that I still have to stay there tonight and hopefully I will be able to be ready to go home tomorrow. But the Dr. is worried about me so I hope that some purrs and prayers from 

the Cat Blogosphere will help me.

April Fool's Day 2016

My Food Lady and I like looking at squirrels out the window. So I was excited when she said let's go look at squirrels. I thought we would go out to the porch. But she called me over to the laptop in the living room.

I jumped up on the coffee table and she showed me squirrels running around on the computer screen. I patted the screen and tried to catch that squirrel.

Then I realized that I couldn't smell any squirrel smells. Do you think that my Food Lady did an April Fool's Day prank on me??? I'm thinking maybe she did. But the squirrels were kind of fun for a few minutes.

Happy Valentine's Day 2016

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone!

I hope that all of you have a terrific day with lots of treats! My squillions, Charlie and Sadie Katie, and I were enjoying a "seabass and shrimp appetizer in a delicate broth" and it was delicious!

It was a fun party with my two squillions.

Yesterday would have been Willow's 12th birthday and China Cat's Gotcha Day so my Food Lady and I had some treats in their honor. I never met Willow as she was a cat that came before me but I remember China Cat from when I moved here to my forever home as a kitten. They are both missed remembered with love.
