Raising my paw for the Humane Society of Missouri

Gaius, I am raising my paw for the Humane Society of Missouri.
It was in Maryland Heights where my sister-cat Samantha became ashes
when she went to the Bridge and
that's where my Lap Lady found my new sister-cat, Willow.
The staff of the Humane Society was wonderful!

First of all they cared about the grief of losing Samantha.
And then when my Lap Lady saw Willow, who was just a kitten at the time,
she was told about Willow's family and how she was a foster kitten,
along with her two siblings.
They were both adopted right before my Lap Lady found my forever sister-cat, Willow.

BKCFOC Theme: Ears or Whiskers

The theme for this weeks edition

is ears or whiskers.

I thought that with a profile shot I could show off
my ears, whiskers and eyelashes too!
They particularly show up quite well
with the black kitty cat on the bag there
to highlight their whiteness! Today's Festival is being hosted by Mog
over at Mind of Mog - visitors are always welcome!
The Carnival of Cats is also today
but in the process of being relocated
and right now I can't find out who the new host will be...

Remembering Kallie

I just heard some sad news this morning
that Jeter and Mickey lost their sister, Kallie.
She lived at their house for 17 1/2 years
and was a very much loved and special cat.

My Furry-er Tummy Tuesday

Tummy Tuesday and just look at my tummy...
My fur is growing back!

My vet thought that I may have had some anxiety and issues
so that I was pulling out tummy fur.
I believe that I just enjoyed grooming to excess... This is what it looked like in March 2007...
a bit spotchy and very pink. And here, also in March 2007, I had hardly any tummy fur.
But I do think that my toes are cute all stretched out here!

BKC: On Purpose or By Accident?

OK, if you want to know if I did this on purpose or on accident,
it was definitely on purpose!

My Lap Lady washed and dried the totally snuggly Rams blanket
before the game today and once it was in that laundry basket
I just did a huge leap right into it!

Who could possibly resist a fresh-out-of-the-dryer
furry fuzzy Rams blanket!?!?!?!?

Poor Amber is having problems with her long fur
but she's still ready for the Festival.

I am very good at cleaning.
I always make sure that after I clean myself,
I then clean Willow.
She is only 3 1/2 and I, being 11,
feel very maternal towards her.```````` `````````` ````````````` OK, she is just as clean as I am now! Now we can nap, since we're both very clean! And don't forget to head over to Justin's Random Thoughts

Monty is Home!!!

Sunshine & Shadows and Missing Monty

I was very busy helping my Lap Lady
join in on the fun of Anastasia's Last Dare yesterday.

Today is my day!
I found my favorite morning sunshine
where I will stay until I head off to my next sunshine spot.
This spot also shows off my shadow quite well,
as you can see ShadowMe is tired too.
~~~~~
You know, you have to keep following those sunspots around
if you want to stay warm!
~~~~~
But while I am safe in my sunspots,
I'm worried about my friend, Monty. He has been missing since Wednesday night
so I am sending him purrs
to safely find his way back home.

Easy like Sunday Morning

There's no place like home on Sunday Morning!

I was on The True Love Road Trip

I have been having so much fun on Lucky's True Love Road Trip!
Willow and I joined everyone at Daisy's in Florida.
She was a wonderful hostess and she had prepared
a specialty of Lizard Stew for all of us. It was delicious!
Then Daisy discovered
that Pixie's Pink Robe looked lovely on Lucky.
Of course, Lucky wanted to look nice for Luxor
when we get to his house in New Mexico. Samantha & Tigger actually had some buses teleported
over from Wales so that we could all ride together. What a terrific idea that was!
Here is a picture someone took of us in one of the buses.
I was singing "On The Road Again" to Willow.
I don't think she was paying attention, as usual! We headed out to Galveston to enjoy
a seafood buffet put on by Missy and KC.
They even packed up a party picnic basket
full of snacks, kitty grass and sparkling water
for the 20 mile ride out to the Gulf of Mexico.
There was a lot of water which meant lots of fresh seafood.
A yummy time was had by all! Then we went to Lubbock to see Angus Mhor.
We were a bit frightened by a tornado
but Angus was our hero
and we landed safely!

Angus treated us to Road Kill Armadillo!
I liked it as it tasted quite chickeny!
He seemed a little surprised
when none of us wanted to try the horned toad. Finally, we reached New Mexico.
Lucky was so excited to meet up with Luxor.
Oh, it was so romantic...
