Mo Cats on the Internet

It's Mo Cats Day today!

Derby proclaimed it last year when someone thought that there were too many cats on the Internet! Well, we are posting lots of cats every September 9th from now on because cats are a very important presence on the Blogosphere!

I was so lucky to get to go outside. I love the outside, with all the grass and wonderful smells - I was a lucky cat!

But while I was there I stopped to consider why would anyone want less cats on the Internet?!?!? I think better while cleaning and decided that there is no possible reason not to have cats blogging on the Internet! We are brilliant and we have a lot to say...plus we are very clean!!!!!

China Cat is 14 Today!

Hooray! It's my birthday today!
I am 14 years old today!

Larry the Lamb always sits on the porch couch with me,
but today I was surprised when
Billy the Birthday Bear showed up!Billy arrived at our house last April
when my Lap Lady's grandson had his 1st birthday.
And now Billy came to my birthday to sing to me! I think that it will be a great birthday!
It is sure starting out terrific!

Farewell Dear Friends

We lost two dear friends from the Cat Blogosphere.
It was with great sadness I found out today that both
Fat Eric and Luxor had each gone off to the Rainbow Bridge.

Options are Good

I am so happy when the sun is shining and I can go out and sleep in the heat in my screened-in porch! My Lap Lady and Willow don't like the heat as much as my Big Janitor Dad and I do. I think that I mentioned that before but it is true! See how nice it is out here?!?!
Sometimes I sleep on the rug and sometimes I sleep on the cooler concrete. I even have my ginger tabby cat bed out here... .....It's good to have options!

Easy Like Sunday Inside Outside

I really like to be outside in my screened-in porch when it is hot. However, my Big Janitor Dad kept thinking that it was too hot for me out there. He kept making me come inside for a while to cool off. So, I went around the house looking for my Lap Lady and when I found her in the living room I jumped up on the couch for a nap. I like taking a nap leaning on the cow pillow.

Saturday Caturday

Before settling in for a nap it is very important to see what is going on in the back yard.
Sometimes bunnies eat the grass under the bushes...
And sometimes squirrels chase each other across the lawn...
I don't see anyone there today.Oh, I see a chipmunk on the deck!
It must have sensed my fierce presence and fled under the deck...
It looks OK now so I think I'll jump up on the couch
for a nice Caturday Nap in the sun!

My Somewhat Sunny Sunday

Today started out perfectly wonderful for me!
It was a brilliantly sunny Sunday!

My Lap Lady thought that it was way too hot and humid
but not for me!
~~~~~
However, then a big rainstorm came - the thunder scared Willow so that she had to run in the house and hide under the bed. I went in for a nice snack and by then the rain had stopped. I went back out into the sunny porch. The interesting thing about the weather today is that it kept being sunny, then rainy, then sunny and then rainy again.

Luckily for me, it's sunny again
and I'm taking a nap on the porch couch!
Willow is still hiding under the bed!

Rainy Friday

After breakfast this morning I went out to patrol the perimeter of my screened-in porch. I do this every morning and then I hop up on to the chair to get to the spa top. My Lap Lady always keeps a glass of fresh water for me up there. While I was drinking my water, I noticed that it started raining. And it was kind of chilly too. I sat on the rug for a few minutes waiting for the sun to come out and warm me up... Well, I guess that is not happening today... just rain and cold.

I figured that the best thing for me to do was go back to bed. My Lap Lady always opens the blinds so I can keep checking to see if the rain stops and the sun comes out. Nope, it's still raining... ...thanks for covering me up, Mom! P.S. Happy 55th Anniversary to my Grandparents - they are my Lap Lady's Mom and Dad!

Happy Easter

I had a wonderful Easter Sunday.
My Lap Lady gave me this "cute" little box.
She wanted to take a picture of me either sitting or laying down in the "cute" box. I wanted to oblige her but there was too much to look at outside of the screened-in porch. I enjoyed the sunshine and snoozing the day away. I hope that everyone else had a great Easter Sunday too!Look at all the fun cats are having this weekend...

Today is My Gotcha Day!

Today is My Gotcha Day!

My Lap Lady found me under a bush in front of her office when I was only about 6 months old. I was mewing like crazy so she picked me up and brought me into her office. Since it was February, it was very cold outside and I was practically freezing. My Lap Lady put her black sweater into a box top and settled me into it. That was after I ran like crazy around the office - it was warm but I didn't know where I was. Anyway, she settled me into the box top with her sweater and while purring happily, I fell asleep.

While I was asleep she drove home, which was close, to get the PTU to take me to her house. After work was over, she put me into the PTU with her sweater. I was nervous and started mewing again. When we got home, I met Samantha, a gray and white cat who hissed at me.

My Lap Lady put up signs by her office to see if anyone had lost a ginger tabby kitten. She really hoped that no one would call because she already loved me. When my Lap Lady was just a kid her first cat was a ginger tabby named Charlie. I liked it at my Lap Lady's house, except that Samantha didn't really like me too much. She eventually tolerated me although she would never let me cuddle with her at all.

Well, no one called to claim me so I was in my Forever Home with my Lap Lady, my Big Janitor and Samantha! I will be 13 this August so I have been here for a long time! After Samantha went to the Bridge in 1990, my Big Janitor told my Lap Lady that I needed a kitten. Even though Samantha always hissed at me a bit, I still missed her. My Lap Lady went to the Humane Society to pick up Samantha's ashes and she had to go look at the cats and kittens.

May 1st was my lucky day because that's when my Lap Lady found Willow. She was just a few month's old and my Lap Lady brought her to her Forever Home that day. Willow lets me snuggle with her and wash her head and I believe she thinks that I am her mother! Which is fine with me - I sure do love her!

The funniest part is that today, my Gotcha Day, is also Willow's Birthday! She is 6 years old today and we are going to celebrate tonight! I think that there will be some Fancy Feast involved!!! Until then I am going to snooze away on my Super Bowl Football Pillow!

The last Sunspot before the Snow comes...

I was so happy to get one last day of sunshine. My Lap Lady opens up the blinds in the bedroom so that if the sun comes out in the afternoon, it shines right on me on the bed! I love sleeping on the bed but especially when I have my sunspot! Now snow is on the way and that means no sunshine for me...
